One Range – Exercise 2

DKK40.00

In this exercise we use the traditional Arban template on the Lip-trill exercise. To say the term of ‘lip trill’ is actually incorrect for the physical approach of this exercise is slightly contentious(!) but what is certain here is that the results of working on this type of exercise are very positive.

One Range Exercise 2

In this exercise we use the traditional Arban template on the Lip-trill exercise. To say the term of ‘lip trill’ is actually incorrect for the physical approach of this exercise is slightly contentious(!) but what is certain here is that the results of working on this type of exercise are very positive.

By transposing through keys in Cycle of 4th’s, we develop the same approach in all ranges so should sound the same wherever you play it. It the second half of the exercise we introduce a fast and light staccato so please be aware that this is to encourage you to play using a legato airstream even when you are stopping every note (imagine a skimming a stone across a lake-every time it hits the water it continues to move forward and this should be how your air continues to flow in staccato).
